Dr. Samantha Sims

Dr. Sims is currently on Maternity leave and will be returning February 5th 2024, Dr. Courtney is filling in for her during this time. Dr. Sims is passionate about helping people improve their health and manage their daily aches and pains through a combination of hands-on chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, exercise and ergonomic advice. Dr. Sims is a graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She believes chiropractic care is beneficial for all stages of life and is taking a special focus in pregnancy, postpartum and paediatric care. Having first-hand experience as a Mom, she recognizes the difficulties that come with pregnancy, birth and postpartum and knows the benefit that chiropractic care can have on that journey.

In her spare time, Dr. Sims loves the outdoors, kayaking, practicing yoga and spending time with her family and friends.

CHIROPRACTOR

Dr. Jillian Edgar

Dr. Edgar was raised in the City of Kawartha Lakes and enjoys providing health and wellness advice to her community. She went to school at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She uses a combination of many different treatment techniques to individualize treatment plans to get you to optimal health fast. She uses adjustments, mobilizations, acupuncture, cupping, exercise rehab and lots of education. She believes that chiropractic care is beneficial during all walks of life from young to elderly. She has a special focus in pre and postnatal care, headaches, osteoarthritis and office workers. Dr. Edgar loves her job and finds helping people reach their mobility and lifestyle goals very rewarding. Dr. Edgar has an open-book policy and values any and all questions regarding all aspects of health and wellness.

When Dr. Edgar isn’t at the office, she enjoys reading, playing recreational sports and spending time with friends and family.

CHIROPRACTOR

Lindsey Nicholson

Lindsey graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College in 2020 with an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy. In her time at Fleming, she developed a strong base of knowledge and understanding of the body, modern massage techniques, and a synergistic approach to healing and wellness.

Lindsey’s main treatment types include classic Swedish techniques, fascial and connective tissue work, and deep tissue release. She also has a special interest in prenatal massage, Indian head massage, cupping massage,  and hot stone massage.
Having practiced in Kawartha Lakes and Durham Region, Lindsey has worked with a variety of clientele and has experience in treating a multitude of conditions including tendonitis, stress-induced muscular pain, upper and lower crossed syndromes, and many other musculoskeletal conditions.

When Lindsey is not practicing massage therapy, she enjoys strength training, taking her pups on adventures, and painting oil and acrylic landscapes.

Melissa Andrews

The clinic is welcoming Melissa Andrews, a registered Physiotherapist.  Melissa has worked in Lindsay since graduating from The University of Western Ontario in 2007.  She is experienced in assessing and treating orthopedic conditions.  Come and see Melissa for conditions such as:

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Vertigo

  • Ankle sprains

  • Rotator cuff tendinitis

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Low back pain

  • After surgery

Melissa is also trained in Vestibular Rehabilitation treating and assessing a variety of conditions including: 

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) 

  • Dizziness 

  • Balance Issues 

Melissa’s special interest includes exercise prescription for hip and knee osteoarthritis, rehabilitating joint replacements and rotator cuff repairs after surgery, and low back pain.  She is an advanced practice practitioner in the low back pain rapid access program.  This triage program advises patients if they meet surgical criteria or are more appropriate for other forms of treatment.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Laura Bourrie

Laura received her RPN diploma from Georgian College in 2016. She has spent the majority of her Practical Nursing career working on a Medical unit in Hospital, while also training on other units to experience multiple areas of nursing.

She pursued her dream job and got her certification as a Medical Esthetic Practitioner at Centennial College in 2021. She continues to further her education and training to provide you safe injections with quality results.
